Gather around our gas fire pit with cozy seating for a relaxing retreat outside. You may see a deer or two walking through the woods or spot a red cardinal! We provide full propane tanks for our fire pit tables and patio heaters.

Dinners will be easy with our gas grill! For Smoker BBQ lovers, we have a smoker for you to show off your unique BBQ style and skills! We provide the grilling utensils!

CUSTOM MASONRY FIRE PIT

Spend your nights around a cozy campfire. We think this is the perfect way to unwind and relax! Patio chairs, poker sticks, and firewood are provided.

HOT TUB & INDOOR HEATED POOL

Relax in our private outdoor therapeutic hot tub, or our indoor heated pool provides an all-season lodging experience! Imagine swimming while watching the snow fall! You can enjoy this experience during one of our winter stays! 

TV ENTERTAINMENT & KARAOKE SYSTEM

Watch tv shows, movies, sports, and more with our Smart TV in the main living area! Or have a karaoke session with family and friends, jam to your favorite songs with our Karaoke system!

GAME ROOM

Game Room - Shuffle board, 2-player arcade game system, poker table (with cards and poker chips), and mini fridge to store your beverages! Spend quality time playing games and have fun!

BILLIARD ROOM

The Billiard Room is a popular spot amongst our guests! You can play on a pool table that is over 100 years old! A family heirloom that was originally from Dave Hobba’s home as a child. Play pool for long hours and enjoy!

Surrounded by 560 Acres in the Appalachian Mountains 

West Virginia wildlife is abundant on Hobba Hill! We are certain you will see plenty of white-tail deer and wild turkey, if you are lucky, you might spot black bear, red fox, bobcat and coyotes. If you are not so lucky, you may see a skunk! West Virginia actually has two species of skunk, the eastern spotted skunk and the striped skunk. My favorite to try to spot is the northern flying squirrel, only showing themselves at night.

Our resort is a bird watcher's paradise, where you will enjoy the beautiful colorful birds of West Virginia. Just a few you might see are the Yellow Canary, Eastern Bluebird, and of course, keep an eye out for our West Virginia official state bird, the Red Cardinal. With its beautiful bright red feathers, you can't miss it! It is believed that individuals who spot this native bird will have good luck within 12 days of the sighting.

My favorites are spotting the Red-bellied woodpecker and a nighttime country favorite is hearing a hooting Barred Owl and the call of the Whip-poor-will.
Of course, what is summer nights without enjoying the night sky full of dancing fireflies… or if you are from West Virginia, lightning bugs.

Star gazing at Cornerstone Lodge is a MUST! On a clear night you just might see a shooting star! Remember to make a wish!

At Cornerstone Lodge you can also enjoy some down time at our catch and release pond! Where you might catch catfish, blue gill, and large mouth! A great beginner fishing spot for the kids!

If hiking is your thing, take time to enjoy our nature-filled trails! Look for the hidden caves and large cliffs and rock formations. Warning! Stay on the trails for your own safety. Enjoy! And take a glimpse of our wildlife at our Wild and Wonderful West Virginia.
